Is a thermoplastic polymer, used in a wide variety of applications, including food packaging, textiles, plastic parts and reusable containers.  Polypropylene has a melting point of 320 degrees F or 160 degrees C.  Many plastic items for medical or laboratory use can be made from polypropylene which is autoclavable so that it can withstand the heat of the autoclave.
