Stereolithography
The stereolithography (sometimes referred to as Rapid Prototyping) (SLA/ STL) is a technique for the fast production of prototypes from 3D-CAD data. The STL-file format consists of many thin layers and replicates the prototype layer for layer in the stereolithography machine. During this process liquid photopolymer resin is exposed by a UV-laser beam that hardens the resin. Afterwards the prototype is post-cured, burred and surface treated.
